Montana's Trillium -
Trillium was shown in puppy classes in several US shows this summer and fall and also competed three days in Calgary both in the all-breed shows and in the Bernese Mountain Dog Club of Canada Specialty/Sieger Show.  In the US and Canada all-breed shows, he received ten firsts (in his puppy class) although in the US he often was the only puppy entered (so no competition).  In the Canada Mountain Dog Club of Canada Specialty he received second in his sweepstakes class, third in his specialty show class, and a "Most Promising Puppy" rating in the Sieger Show.  Approximately ninety berners competed in the Specialty in Calgary.  The Sweepstake judge (a breeder of Bernese) said Trillium had "very lovely type," and the Sieger judge, who gave Trillium an oral/written evaluation, liked his skull ("pleasing definition), his angulation, his front, his movement ("clean coming and going") and his bone ("good").  Trillium is a young boy and is still having fun in the ring, but with maturity and practice, he should do quite well.  Trillium has been owner/breeder handled in all shows he has recently
competed in.
